Work brief

Initial information that makes the IT work scope clearer.

The brief does not need to be perfect. Its purpose is to provide location, device, connection, schedule, and expected-output context so the first discussion can move toward a work plan.

How to use this

Send a short summary by email.

Use the points on this page as an internal checklist before contacting PT TSI. Available information can be sent to contact@teksol.id.

Brief checklist

Six information areas that help most at the start.

This checklist helps turn a general request into a scope that can be reviewed, prioritized, and coordinated.

02

Devices involved

List computers, laptops, printers, scanners, monitors, peripherals, network devices, and communication equipment in scope.

  • Existing devices and devices to be prepared.
  • Initial condition, use location, and accessory needs.
  • Devices to move, replace, or recheck.
03

Connections and access

Provide known information about cabling points, routers, switches, access points, user access, and connectivity constraints.

  • Connection points available or needing to be mapped.
  • Site access, site escort, or work permission details.
  • Technical information that can be shared for coordination.
04

Parties involved

Identify internal contacts, vendors, technicians, or users that should be involved in discussion or execution.

  • Site owner or primary contact for the work output.
  • Party managing access, schedule, or equipment.
  • Contact who understands the current technical condition.
05

Schedule and priority

Describe target timing, work sequence, hours to avoid, and which part is most urgent.

  • Target date, execution timing, or practical limits.
  • Device, area, or user priority.
  • Dependencies with equipment delivery or another party.
06

Expected output

Write down the type of output expected so the work does not stop at installation only.

  • Readiness checklist, equipment register, or technical note.
  • Status update, issue list, and follow-up items.
  • Handover summary for users or the responsible party.

After the brief is received

The initial brief is shaped into a scope note.

PT TSI reviews the work context, clarifies missing information, and shapes a scope that can be used for follow-up coordination.

01

Review

Review location, devices, connections, schedule, and expected output.

02

Clarify

Request additional information needed before the scope is prepared.

03

Scope note

Prepare objective, work boundary, involved parties, and output notes.

04

Coordinate

Prepare agenda, status, technical records, and handover material as needed.

Start the discussion
